Catering at Alden Orchards
Welcome to Alden Orchards!
We’re excited to have you here. First off, there’s no vendor fee, and our team is happy to support during the event.
Parking & Kitchen
You may park in the spaced designated on the map below. It is okay to block during event, and is close to the kitchen, pavilion, and reception. The ceremony area is out of view, so you won’t be a distraction.
The prep kitchen has open counters, a sink, and a fridge. The oven is available for prep support if needed. Check with the client before planning to use the fridge—it may already hold the cake, florals, rehearsal dinner left-overs, or breakfast. Client will need to prioritize accordingly.
Drinking water is available onsite but is well water that must be transported from the kitchen. Most caterers opt to bring pre-filled jugs instead to ease logistics and ensure taste quality.
Tables & Buffet
One 6ft table with linen is set for happy hour.
Two 6ft tables with linens are set inside the barn for dinner. Both sides of buffet tables are open for serving. After service, please move tables outside the barn—our staff can assist if needed.
An 6-8ft. dessert table (if client indicates it is applicable)
Additional tables can be requested through the client. For needs like meat carving, extra beverages, or added table space at happy hour, please inform the client. We'll coordinate with them during planning to align on the best setup placement.
Dishes & Cleanup
All food and drink waste must be taken offsite after the event. Trash cans are onsite to collect guest dishes if disposable.
Dishware depends on client choice. If rented from us, plates are set by the client and cleaning instructions come from the client. If a table is required for bussing, feel free to use the tables from the buffet once serving is compete. There is a hose near the kitchen to access water if desired.
Requirements
All caterers must have proper licenses and permits with the State of Michigan. Email your Proof of Insurance and Catering License to us at least one month before the event. We cannot host vendors who do not fulfill.
